IPC is one of the UK’s leading power developers and power plant operators. Founded in 1995, IPC has developed, owned or operated 7,000MW of thermal and hydro powergeneration facilities in North America, Latin America, South Africa, Asia and Europe.
IPC were nearing the end of their support agreement with an IT support supplier and wished to benchmark them both in terms of cost and quality of service.
We put together a proposal of our fixed cost services and carried out a full IT audit with recommendations. IPC compared this to a number of other proposals and concluded that we offered good value for money and quality of service. In light of this they decided to award the contract to Reflective IT.
This encompassed taking over all aspects of IPC’s IT requirements including: domain name and internet service provider management, hosted Exchange, BlackBerry server, remote access to all desktops and laptops and quarterly account reviews to address current issues, discuss future requirements and ensure service level satisfaction.
Benefits: The transition between suppliers was planned and implemented to cause minimum disruption and IPC were happy with the way this whole process was managed. As a result they have a much smoother running IT system and more satisfied staff who do not hesitate to get in touch when they have an issue, increasing staff productivity.
