SMTP Backup £49 per year
What is SMTP Backup?
Emails to your company are delivered directly to your
mail server from other mail servers on the internet
using the Simple Mail Transport Protocol (SMTP).
However, what happens to email when your server is
not available? Some internet mail servers will hold the
email for up to three days and keep trying to deliver it
and notify the sender that there is a delay in delivery.
Other mail servers will try once, and then send a
delivery failure report straight back to the sender.
In the event of a problem with your mail server, you
don’t want clients and suppliers to receive warnings or
failure messages. This is where SMTP Backup comes
in. Reflective IT Solutions SMTP Backup server is
listed on your companies Domain Name as a
secondary place to deliver email to. Our SMTP Backup
server then holds any emails intended for your
company until your email server is fixed, and then
automatically delivers the email. No warnings or
failures. No worried clients or suppliers.
